The first step toward change is awareness. The second step is acceptance. -Nathaniel Branden
Do you feel like something is…missing? Are you so caught up in daily life that you feel stagnant? Are you just going through the motions or have a weird feeling that something is off track?
If so, I’m going to share a very familiar story with you about my friend, Heather:
It’s 9:15pm on any given Tuesday. Heather finally sat down next to her husband on the couch who was watching TV while surfing his iPad. She reflected on her normal day of getting the kids to school with somewhat healthy meals, grinding on the latest project at work, swinging by the store for dog food on the way home, and barely making it in time to pick up the kids! Only to deal with the post-daycare meltdown while scrambling through the freezer for something quick to make for dinner. The meal was, as expected, with little conversation other than begging the kids to stop arguing and eat so they could rush through bath time and read before bed. The rest of the evening was spent preparing for the next day’s activities of doing it all over again!
I don’t know about you, but just reading that story made me exhausted! Yes, Heather was exhausted, and her throat was starting to hurt as she was coming down with another one of the kid’s greenish yellow colds. (yuck!)
If you are anything like Heather, you likely have nothing to complain about, right?

Perhaps your situation is a little bit different- maybe you don’t have kids, maybe you have trouble filling time instead of finding more of it, maybe your kids don’t argue (please call me with your miracle tips!), maybe you aren’t married. No matter the case, it seems that life can be so repetitive that we are more worried about completing tasks than enjoying them. It’s easy to get stuck in a rut and not recognize it until it’s too late. Stagnation as well as stress can impact your health, relationships, job, sleep, and overall ability to have happiness. You may notice your energy weakening, being unmotivated to do something, negative self-talk, or again, just having that feeling that something is missing or “not right.” The more you accept and are aware of your situation, the more committed you will be to reaching your new goals.
It’s time to listen to yourself and these signs that are being sent internally and externally. Change can be daunting, and uncertainty is scary, but it doesn’t have to be major! If something doesn’t feel right, what would happen if you didn’t make the change? Every small change in life has an impact on the greater picture. Before even trying to identify what needs to be changed, just go ahead and acknowledge- accept- that a change needs to be made. You are not succumbing to defeat or weakness. You can celebrate your new direction and I can help!
If you could change just one thing in your life right now, what would it be? Message Me and let’s start the process of recognizing the need for change!
